Dear friends and supporters,

The April 28 coalition is a grassroots initiative aimed at making a positive contribution to resolving the conflict in Caledonia. The event we are planning on April 28 is going to be a large and powerful show of support for peace, respect and friendship. We are estimating that over 1000 people will join us in our walk and celebration. After we finish walking through Caledonia we will end up at Kanonhstaton (the former Douglas Creek Estates) for a gathering that will involve live music, free food, games and sporting events, and much more.

All of this organizing costs money. While we are getting support from a wide variety of community organizations and unions it will take a broad effort to make this event successful. That’s why we’re asking for help with our efforts by making a contribution. If you click on the button at the top of this page, you can use your PayPal account or any major credit card to help us out. You can also email us at kanonhstaton@gmail.com in order to arrange a pick up or drop off for your donation. Some of the things that your contribution will help to cover include:

•    The cost of renting buses for the event
•    Renting sound equipment for the concert we are putting on
•    Renting porta-potties for the site
•    Cost of the thousands of leaflets and posters we are printing
•    Paying for advertising in local papers
•    Cost of Canada Post flyer to every home in Caledonia
•    Buying food for the BBQ we’re having
•    Other miscellaneous costs that may arise

Please help us out if you can afford to. For those coming on the bus, please consider making a contribution of $10 to cover the cost of the rental. If you can afford more, please send more. A complete accounting for all monies we have spent on the April 28 coalition will be made available to any donor upon request in order to ensure transparency and accountability.
